Wickedly Sent Soaps

I was recently commissioned by Wick-edly Sent Soap and Candle Company to provide them with several designs for an upcoming soap line to benefit AIDSRochester. The drawings were fun and with a healthy dose of Tongue in cheek.

Look for them this July at Wickedly Sent.

UPDATES!

Its been a while since I updated...but that is due to heavy work load. Hopefully Ill be able to upload some of the newer stuff very soon.

Check out my new side-project/sketch-blog "Touched" Doodles. I keep my ipod on me at most times for impromptu drawing, at least for music. But now I downloaded a few programs that allow me to draw even on breaks from real drawings...check it out for anything and everything I feel like sketching while bored at work, bored on the couch, and even the occasional toilet sketch.

Thug Life Eternal

Just a quickie. T-shirt design I did on commission. Not sure what the caption is going to be on the t-shirt but I was assured that it would be plenty offensive. I hope I get one.

Offensive is my favorite kind of shirt. next to Hawaiian.

CURSE OF THE SNAKE GOD issue 2 cover Penciled!

Here is an early look at the pencils for my cover to "Curse of the Snake God" issue 2! I was about halfway done with the snake when I absolutely began regretting it, but I always hated it when someone draws snakes and all you got was a criss cross or checkered pattern here and there. That being said....my future snakes will all be checker patterned, or maybe ill just print inside the snake (snake skin) to save us both time.

Issue 2 will introduce us to Rhemmiel's friends and supporting cast as well as the oasis sanctuary he calls home,...and a few interesting threats along the way. Inks and more as we go along!

Untold Stories from Iraq and Afganistan

Both my brother and I have been asked to contribute a story (written by Mike Perkins, Art by myself) based on true stories collected from various men and women in the military. For "Untold Stories from Iraq and Afganistan" Mike has been conducting interviews and is in the process of putting together the script for me and production will begin very shortly.

Spring Updates

Okay...time to catch up. This year is shaping up to be quite a busy year, and I get the feeling that if I dont start keeping this blog up to date now,...I will fall horrendously behind once the true work starts up.

Curse of the Snake God issue #2 has begun production! I finished laying out the entire issue over the last week and am currently beginning the character designs and pencils for Rhemmiel's most recent adventures. Written by Marc Morrell and published through Nifty Comics, This issue is shaping up to be more exciting and an intense draw for me. Magical Gardens, Mystic curses, and an odd creature or two on the horizon...Plus plenty of corpses. And everyone knows Will Perkins loves drawing dead stuff.

Here is an early look at a starting sketch of our leading lady in COTSG 2 ,...

I will be there to meet and greet, sign and sell books, and draw for anyone who wants to watch! I will update with more news as it gets closer, but mark the calendars and check back here for updates to schedules and projects that will be on display!

Spiderman sketching tutorial

I recently received an email from a friend I met last October at Strong National Museum of Play's Comic book exhibit opening asking me to possibly put up a video explaining a few things. Bernard Asked "Will, how do draw the webs spidey holds when swinging,... and the spider on his chest?" So I threw together this VERY poorly done video. I will certainly need to make the plunge and grab a tripod for future videos. But for now...enjoy my shakey cam and absent minded sketching of Webs and Spiders.

Thanks Bernard! Hope this helps a bit.
